We call it the Cowgirl’s All Purpose saddle but it’s great for cowboys, cowkids, and cowwhatevers. Its just a great all around, all purpose saddle that meets a lot of needs, whether working calves on the back 40 sections, riding trails in the hill country, running cans at the week end rodeo or roping in the arena. It is built on a Ranch Cutter tree with a roping horn (6-2 horn) that is low, light weight but strong enough to hold almost anything you can throw a rope on. Light weight? Yes, it is light weight, tipping the scales at around 24 pounds. It is built of Hermann Oak leather with rough out jockey and fenders but with a suede padded seat. The genuine sheepskin is just another of its quality amenities. The in-skirt rigging gives you a lot of close contact with your horse and allows a lot of movement of the fenders forward and rearward. It has a good seat without a sharp pocket so it’s designed for that rider that has a little more going on toward the south and needs to have space for the north, if you catch my drift.
